My grandmother Dottie West and Kenny Rogers version of Tammy’s hit “Til I Can Make It On My Own” went to #3 on Billboard’s country charts.
This was her quote upon my grandmother’s death:
“Dottie was country. Not just country music, but country in her heart, her home, her beliefs.” - Tammy Wynette
