Great collector’s print! This is a reproduction print of an original painting I did last year, and had both of them sign. This is the PRINT version of that original piece.
My mother, Shelly West and my uncle David Frizzell make up what is the duo “Frizzell and West.” My mom was pregnant with me at the very height of their career and hits, so doing this painting really reminded me of my entire childhood. They had multiple hit songs, their biggest song being recently coined by Billboard as one of the top 20 duets of all time, “You’re The Reason God Made Oklahoma.”
In the past couple of years, my uncle David has been inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame, and my mother inducted into the Ohio Country Music Hall of Fame. When mom saw it, she mentioned I am the only person related to both the Frizzell’s and the West’s…. a sentimental art print to me for sure!
