Dottie West and Kenny Rogers Art Print 11x14"
This is one of my favorite paintings I've mine... Kenny and my grandmother (Dottie West) performing. I have had several of you ask if I will make it an art print, so now this art print is available.
He and my grandmother were very close, and enjoyed some career heights together as a duet. When she fell on hard times with the IRS, he gave her a car. And as we know, the car stalled, and she took a ride from a neighbor instead to the Opry to perform, but had a fatal wreck on the way. Kenny came and saw her in the hospital right before she passed. He was one of several after her passing that sought to see her get into the Country Music Hall of Fame. They are both missed. 'While people sang words, she sang emotions... as time goes by, I think that Dottie's place (in country music) will become more sacred because she was one of the real female pioneers in the business" - Kenny Rogers
