This was the 18th annual ACM awards in California, Tammy Wynette was a host, Willie Nelson had single of the year with “Always on My Mind,” Merle Haggard won song of the year for “Are the Good Times Really Over for Good” and mom and uncle David won vocal duo of the year (even beating Willie and Waylon 😯)
